Creating a healthy dental routine for your children is an extremely important part of their overall health. We provide routine, painless preventative treatments to make sure your child grows up with healthy teeth and gums. This is the best way to protect your child from gum disease and invasive procedures in the future.
Our Services can be applied to any patient at any age. These services will be discussed with you in detail during your consultation to determine the best treatment for your oral health needs. Our services include the following:
Orthodontist – Braces
We offer braces for both adults and children for crooked or misaligned teeth. Creating strong, straight teeth will help you avoid more serious problems in the future. Our orthodontists most commonly treat and fix underbites, overbites, and misaligned crowded teeth.
Crowns act as a full coverage restoration to protect damaged teeth and make them look new again. Crowns cover weak teeth and protect against further breakage. They also cover the work that has already been done on your teeth to make future repairs less likely.
We construct both complete and partial dentures to replace the teeth missing or removed from your mouth. Dentures fill in the gaps in your mouth and simultaneously support your remaining teeth in order to keep them from moving. Dentures can be manipulated to look like your real teeth and give you your confidence back.
Dental implants replace missing teeth. This procedure creates a permanent tooth that cannot be moved once it is implanted in your mouth, as it is set into the bone to mimic a natural tooth. The procedure slows or stops bone loss that occurs when your missing teeth remain untreated. Implants are an alternative to dentures. We also offer mini dental implants that are designed to stabilize lower dentures.
Root Canal Treatment
Root Canals treatments are necessary when a cavity has been allowed to form for too long. This procedure is necessary because if left untreated, infections take place that can eat away at the surrounding bone in your jaw. The result is very painful. A root canal cleans out the infection and bacteria and saves your tooth from having to be removed.
Bridges are another procedure we perform that fills space created by a missing tooth. We form it to look like your natural tooth both in shape and in color depending on the material used. Filling these gaps protects your remaining teeth from moving, causing pain, and creating an infection in the future.
These treatments are focused around problems with your jaw and its joint. Things like misalignment, trauma and excess muscles tension are all contributing factors. There are many different options for treating TMJ because it has so many different effects on the mouth. The sooner you treat this dental issue the better because you are less likely to undergo more intense procedures to correct it.
This is a simple procedure we perform on a daily basis to remove decay. After a cavity has been completely cleaned, we fill in the hole to protect it from more damage and bacteria. When caught early, treatment is easy and painless.
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of your teeth. It repairs damage that results from decay and can close an unwanted gap formed between teeth.
Sealants are a great way to protect your teeth when brushing and flossing cannot do so alone. Sealants keep your teeth from forming cavities. This procedure is painless and done in a short amount of time. We recommend this for children who are transitioning from their baby teeth to adult teeth, and when they show signs their molars are coming in.
Non-Surgical Gum Treatments
These treatments are done to prevent or stop damage that results from gum disease. We provide these services because we want to do whatever it takes to help you avoid gum surgery, as it is painful and invasive. Issues like bleeding gums, inflammation, and loose teeth are all signs you need to be treated right away.
We use digital radiography to examine your oral health below the gumline. X-rays allow us to see the roots of your teeth and structure of your jaw. This makes it easy to spot underlying issues and infections so we can treat them immediately. X-rays are painless. We show you the image they create so you have a clear understanding of what we see.
Veneers are a cosmetic option to improve your smile. Veneers cover the outside of your teeth and can be manipulated in size, color, and length in order to create the most desirable appearance. Less work has to be done on the existing tooth, as it will be completely covered.
We also offer invisalign as an alternative to braces. Many of our adult patients prefer this option because it allows them to adjust their teeth without having to get braces. This involves several visits as your teeth change quite quickly. We work closing with you to create a plan that will align your teeth in a short amount of time.
Our wide range of services are designed to cover any dental needs you may have. We offer a free consultation where you can meet our staff and have all of your questions answered. Come in today and see why we are Layton’s trusted pediatric and family dentistry.
