Dental Clinic

Layton Dental Clinic

At Hillfield Pediatric & Family Dentistry, our goal is to help you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. Our clinic provides exceptional dental care that is made to last. We take the extra step and give you the information you need to maintain the dental work we perform in our clinic at home. Our clinic provides a wide range of services that use the latest technology. This combination gives our patients the best results in the least amount of time.

Our clinic is highly sought after for our pediatric services. We create a fun and welcoming environment for your children that you will not find at any other dentist. Our stress-free environment is filled with games and books your children can enjoy while they wait to see their dentist. The staff is highly interactive before and during their exam so they have a great experience. We provide painless preventative treatments for your children, so their future oral health is protected and they look forward to visiting the clinic for check-ups.

Although we specialize in pediatrics, our services can be applied to any patient at any age. We take the time to discuss your specific oral health in order to choose your best treatment option. Everyone’s teeth are different, which is why we take the time to create a unique plan that will work for you.

Our orthodontic services provide the option of braces for both adults and children. Braces fix crooked or misaligned teeth. Correct tooth placement and alignments prevent more serious issues in the future. Along with teeth, braces also help resolve jaw issues by correcting an underbite or overbite.

We also provide advanced procedures in our clinic, including crowns, dentures, implants, root canals, bridges, and TMJ treatments. The goal of all of these procedures is to restore your teeth and smile to their healthiest state.

Crowns offer full coverage for weak teeth and also protect work that has already been done on them. Crowns make future repairs less likely. Dentures replace the missing teeth in your mouth while supporting your existing ones. Dentures can be removed as they do not have to be a permanent fixture in your mouth. They look like real teeth and will give you your confidence back. Implants act as an alternative to dentures. They differ in that once they are placed, they are permanent. Implants act to stop or slow bone loss that occurs when missing teeth are left untreated. We also offer mini dental implants that are designed to stabilize lower dentures. Root canal treatment is performed following a bad cavity. Root canals stop further infections that can lead to gum disease and be very painful. This procedure cleans out any bacteria and can save your tooth from having to be removed completely. Bridges are another way to fill in spaces created by missing teeth. They support your existing teeth as well. Bridges are made to look like your real teeth both in shape and color. TMJ Treatments cover a wide range oral problems. Things like misalignment, trauma and excess muscle tension are all contributing factors. We look for things like bleeding gums, inflammation, and gum recession.

We cover basic oral health with the following everyday procedures:

Fillings

This is a simple procedure we perform on a daily basis to remove decay. After a cavity has been completely cleaned, we fill in the hole to protect it from more damage and bacteria. When caught early, treatment is easy and painless.

Bonding

Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of your teeth. It repairs damage that results from decay and can close an unwanted gap formed between teeth.

Sealants

Sealants are a great way to protect your teeth when brushing and flossing cannot do so alone. Sealants keep your teeth from forming cavities. This procedure is painless and done in a short amount of time. We recommend this for children who are transitioning from their baby teeth to adult teeth, and when they show signs their molars are coming in.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatments

These treatments are done to prevent or stop damage that results from gum disease. We provide these services because we want to do whatever it takes to help you avoid gum surgery, as it is painful and invasive. Issues like bleeding gums, inflammation, and loose teeth are all signs you need to be treated right away.

X-Rays

We use digital radiography to examine your oral health below the gumline. X-rays allow us to see the roots of your teeth and structure of your jaw. This makes it easy to spot underlying issues and infections so we can treat them immediately. X-rays are painless. We show you the image they create so you have a clear understanding of what we see.

Our clinic also offers two different types of cosmetic options to consider when you want to repair your smile. We offer both Veneers and Invisalign services.

Veneers

Veneers are a cosmetic option to improve your smile. Veneers cover the outside of your teeth and can be manipulated in size, color, and length in order to create the most desirable appearance. Less work has to be done on the existing tooth, as it will be completely covered.

Invisalign

We also offer invisalign as an alternative to braces. Many of our adult patients prefer this option because it allows them to adjust their teeth without having to get braces. This involves several visits as your teeth change quite quickly. We work closing with you to create a plan that will align your teeth in a short amount of time.

All of the services performed in our clinic have the same goal. We want to give you the best smile you can have, while making sure you are healthy. It is important that you come in for a consultation. Although many of our services may seem similar, they are specifically designed to treat each patient’s unique oral needs. We are your trusted pediatric and family dentistry when it comes to providing the best experience and the most beneficial services in Layton, Utah.
